Angela George
Lawyer
Angela George (aka Ange) is a Lawyer / Solicitor at Baldwins Lawyers, with her main focuses on family law, disability advocacy (including succession planning) and succession (wills and estates).
Ange is a Gympie local, born and raised in the Mary Valley on her parent's farm. Ange completed her primary school at one of the Mary Valley schools and completed her high school at Gympie State High School.
Ange found her passion for the law when she first left school to her first job in a law firm.
Ange finally took the plunge and commenced studying law in 2021. The main reason for this choice was so that Ange could assist her disabled daughter and navigate the disability world (and with a view to helping others).
For approximately 20 years, Ange has been heavily involved in advocating for her disabled daughter and being part of community-based organizations management committees.
This has been Ange's main passion - wanting to help others who are struggling to understand the disability world (i.e succession planning, NDIS, QCAT applications for guardianship / financial administrator appointments).
Ange also has an interest in family law matters (including children, property and divorce).
Ange was admitted as a Solicitor in 2024 and is a member of the Queensland Law Society.
In Ange's free time, she enjoys fishing and spending time with her 3 children, family and friends.
Martina Hal
Lawyer
As a little girl Martina always believed her talent in persuasion would make her a good lawyer but suspected her parents may have called it ignorance.
As an Indigenous woman, Martina’s engagement in Legal Studies has enhanced her sense of justice and desire to help demolish the divide between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
She obtained a Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology.
Martina was admitted as a Lawyer in October 2024, in the Supreme Court of Queensland at Brisbane.
Martina came through the ranks in the firm, previously being a Paralegal, assisting the Principal, Zasco with a range of her matters, particularly conveyancing.
Her attention to detail and high level of communication ensure a smooth conveyancing process and this is assisted by her having a good relationship with the listing and selling Agents in pursuit of the same goal.
Martina’s passion for this field of law continues to grow. She is very appreciative of Zasco being her mentor and allowing her the opportunity to grow and gain deeper legal experience.
Once she concludes her legal studies, she would like to continue practicing law with the same values of Baldwins Lawyers into the future.
When she is not working or studying, Martina can usually be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Her delectable dishes are influenced by her mother’s Filipino culture, but she has also been known to whip up a batch of delicious spring rolls for the Gympie office on many occasions.
